If you prefer cycling over jogging, set a goal of covering 25 kilometers in 60 minutes.

Strength Building– Target 4 sets of squats with 20reps in each

This is another place where you should focus your efforts. At high altitude, you will traverse a significant amount of trekking distance while carrying your bags. During the hike, you will have to walk across uneven terrain. It can be too much for your legs. Strengthening your legs will help with this. Squats are a good way to strengthen them. Begin with three sets of eight squats per set and work your way up to your goal in three weeks.

Flexibility is another factor that will make your travel more enjoyable. Stretch your hamstrings, quadriceps, hip flexors, lower back muscles, and shoulders on a daily basis to help with this.

By Air
The nearest airport in Dehradun is Jolly Grant Airport, which is roughly 20 kilometers from Rishikesh. Flights to Dehradun Airport are available from all states; you may book your tickets online. These are simple and straightforward methods for you to follow, and they will also save you time.

By Train
There are few trains that run 7 days a week between New Delhi and Dehradun. Some of them are listed below:

By Bus

1. Climatic conditions in high altitudes differ from those in the plains; allow enough time to acclimate to high altitudes.
2. Before embarking on the journey, consult a physician. During the hike, carry basic medications and a first-aid kit.
3. Pay attention to the trek guides and instructors in order to have a safe and enjoyable trek.
4. The journey passes through an environmentally friendly zone; do not encourage littering at local sites or campgrounds. Travelers who litter may be penalized.

You’ll have a good connection to the cell phone network and the internet until you reach Gangotri. Mobile phone connections are likely to be found through Airtel, BSNL, and Jio.

The network, however, is poor or non-existent as you leave Gangotri.

Harshil is the last town on the Gangotri trail where ATM’s are available for cash withdrawals. In Uttarkashi, all of the main private and public sector banks have ATM’s and some even have branches. So if you need to make a last-minute cash withdrawal, Uttarkashi is your best place.
